AFLW Injury Prevention

Injury prevention is important for all sports, in women's AFL competitions it is moreso than any other sports. in the first two seasons of AFLW players were 9.2 times more likely to suffer an ACL injury compared to male footballers. There are a number of factors that may lead to this alarming stat. Some of the factors can't be changed, like the angle of the knee and hip joints, but importantly other factors can be changed, such as landing control and body awareness.
